The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is coming to Lafayette to conduct a training session called; Missing and Abducted Children - Response Initiatives For: Call-Takers, First Responders, Investigators and First-Line Supervisors. The course will cover department policies and procedures, pre-incident planning, intra and inter-agency response, investigative/support resources, and resources available from NCMEC. The training is applicable for dispatchers, first reposnders, investigators, supervisors, prosecutors, and community advocates.
The training will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, IN (5526 SR 26 East, Lafayette) on August 28, 2007 from 0800-1700 hours. There is no cost for the training. Contact Captain Tim Potts at the Purdue University Police Department, (765-494-8221 or tapotts@purdue.edu) to register.
